Salary:

  • FF/EMT- $53,075 (w/ holiday disbursement)
  • FF/PM- $64,075 (w/ holiday disbursement)

Have Previous Full-Time Paid Fire Service Experience?

    • 5% Above Starting- 
      • 3 complete years of previous experience
      • Florida Firefighter II
      • Active Florida Paramedic License 
    • 10% Above Starting- 
      • 5 complete years of previous experience 
      • Florida Firefighter II 
      • Active Florida Paramedic License
      • Florida State Certified Pump Operator
      • Completion of a Florida Bureau of Fire Standards and Training approved Aerial Apparatus Operations Course
    • 15% Above Starting- 
      • 7 complete years of previous experience 
      • Florida Firefighter II 
      • Active Florida Paramedic License
      • Florida State Certified Pump Operator
      • Completion of a Florida Bureau of Fire Standards and Training approved Aerial Apparatus Operations Course
      • State Certified Fire Officer I (or greater)
      • State Certified Instructor I (or greater)

Stipend Package:

  • Up to $665 per pay period for advanced training certifications (separate from paramedic stipend)
  • Paramedic Stipend of $11,000 per year (Department covers 100% of training costs)
  • Tuition Reimbursement (up to $2,000 per year
  • Academic/Educational Degrees- 
    • Associate Degree- $55 per month
    • Bachelors Degree- $135 per month

Leave:

  • 14+ Shifts off Annually
    • 132 Holiday Hours per year- 2 Personal Days per year (48 hours)-159.9 Hours of Vacation per year
  • 144 Hours of Sick Leave Annually
  • 6 Weeks of PAID Maternity/Paternity leave with no impact to the employees leave bank.
