Road closures for DeLand Mardi Gras Dog Parade & Festival

Dogs are set to rule the road this weekend for The Krewe of Amalee’s DeLand Mardi Gras Dog Parade and Festival, which means several roads in Downtown DeLand will be closed for most of the morning on Saturday.

(DeLand, FL) – Dogs are set to rule the road this weekend for The Krewe of Amalee’s DeLand Mardi Gras Dog Parade and Festival, which means several roads in Downtown DeLand will be closed for most of the morning on Saturday.

The parade will start at 11 a.m.Saturday beginning at Pennsylvania Avenue and Woodland Boulevard and officially end at Howry Avenue, though canines will exit the road at Georgia Avenue.

Road closures are as follows:

- Woodland Boulevard will be closed from Plymouth to Voorhis beginning at 7:30 a.m. Saturday and then reopened about 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
- The 100 blocks of East and West Indiana Avenue will be closed throughout the day until 10 p.m. Saturday.
- West Georgia Avenue will be closed to allow for parade traffic and festival activities.
