Parking at City Hall to be enforced
(DeLand, FL) – Changes to parking enforcement will soon begin in the City Hall parking lot.
The parking lot outside of City Hall has always had assigned parking spots for city employees, however, recently there has been a noticeable increase in non-city vehicles using the parking lot during business hours.
Starting October 1, permit-only parking will be enforced.
City employees will be issued permits for parking in the City Hall parking lot. There will continue more than 20 spaces for customers or those with business at City Hall but they will be time-limited. For those with longer meetings, day passes will be issued to those visitors.
Parking at the City Hall lot will not be enforced after-business hours during the week or on the weekends.
During initial implementation, drivers will be educated regarding the change. However, fines of $9 will later be issued to people in violation.
