Families are invited to join the City of DeLand as we celebrate our nation at the 5th annual Firecracker Festival.


Admission to this year’s Firecracker Festival is free and will begin at 5 p.m.July 3 at Earl Brown Park, 750 South Alabama Avenue. Powered by RC Hill Honda Powersports, the event will feature Brian’s BBQ and numerous food trucks, the very popular pie-eating contest presented by Kermit’s Key West Key Lime Shoppe and a kid’s zone organized by Journey Church.


The event will be emceed by Central Florida radio talent, Dallas Reese. The high-energy Bay Kings Band will provide a free concert at the Earl Brown Park amphitheater beginning at 7 p.m.


The fireworks display by Four Seasons Display, Inc., will take place shortly after 9 p.m. following the concert by the Bay Kings Band. The concert is lawn seating and guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs for the show.


New this year, the city is offering reservations for seating underneath the oak tree in front of the amphitheater. A table with 10 chairs is $100. Stop by the Sanborn Center or call 386-626-7300 to reserve a table. Limited number of seats available.
