Firefighter Pumper Pull to raise money for Childhood Cancer Foundation
(DeLand, FL) – The DeLand Fire Department is challenging the community to show some muscle to fight childhood cancer.
On Saturday, October 6, the firefighters will join other teams who will attempt to pull a fire engine 50 feet down West Georgia Avenue.All proceeds raised from the event will go toward the Childhood Cancer Foundation Inc. The event, which will take place in front of Trilogy Coffee,will be from 5 to 9 p.m. that day.
The registration fee per 10-person team is $100 or $10 per person. Trophies will be awarded to the first place male, female and co-ed teams.
The event is free to those wishing to watch the teams. An after-party will take place at Café DaVinci.
