Mission Statement

Our mission is to encourage economic development by retaining and facilitating the expansion of existing businesses, attracting new high value, high wage businesses to the area and fostering the development of complimentary business clusters.  The City recognizes the importance of maintaining partnerships with local, County, regional and State agencies and organizations in promoting the economic prosperity of DeLand.

Many communities talk about being pro-business, but few have been as progressive in establishing tangible methods and procedures to ensure a streamlined permitting process that will allow new and expanding companies to move from planning to production in the shortest time possible.
