Mission Statement
The Community Development Department strives to ensure that all DeLand residents enjoy a high quality of life by facilitating a well planned, economically sustainable, attractively designed and safely built environment that promotes community identity.
The Community Development Department consists of three sections. Community Development Administration oversees the operation of the department and facilitates economic development. The Building Division is responsible for building permits and inspections, code enforcement and business tax receipts. The Planning Division is responsible for long range planning and administering the City's Land Development Regulations and Historic & Cultural Resources.
All Community Development Department offices are located on the first floor of City Hall, 120 South Florida Ave, DeLand, FL 32720, 386-626-7022.
