(DeLand, Florida) – The city has launched its community survey to get input on government services and to measure the quality of life in the community. 

Over the past few weeks, surveys have been sent to residents as part of a random sample. That same survey is now open to all residents to participate. 

“We are excited to receive more input from the community. The survey will help us get a baseline understanding of the quality of our services and allow us to measure our impact going forward,” said Mayor Chris Cloudman.

The input received through the survey will be instrumental when the City Commission sets its priorities for the 2025-2026 Fiscal Year.

The National Community Survey (The NCS) was developed by National Research Center at Polco. The survey captures opinions on the economy, mobility, community design, utilities, safety, natural environment, inclusivity, engagement, and other elements of DeLand's overall livability. The results will show DeLand’s strengths, areas of improvement, and what matters most to residents. The City of DeLand will also be able to see how its performance compares to other communities across the country. 

All residents aged 18 and older are asked to visit polco.us/DeLand24 and complete the survey. The City of DeLand needs input from the entire community to make data-driven decisions that will benefit all of the city’s residents. Responses are anonymous, and personal information is securely stored on Polco.
