Earl W. Brown

Earl Brown was a man who wore many hats in the City of DeLand. He was a former Mayor of DeLand, Executive Secretary of the Board of Trade (Chamber of Commerce), and one other founders of the Volusia County Fair in 1925. He was best known through his company, Exhibit Builders. Through his work with Exhibit Builders he built the Florida exposition for the 1933 Worlds Fair in Chicago and the 1939 Exposition for the Worlds Fair in New York as well as other expositions and fairs throughout the United State.

George W. Marks dedicated his life to the advancement of education in Volusia County. He was a former school teacher, principal, and served as a superintendent of Volusia County Schools for many years.
