| General Information |
|
The rate structure for residential, multi-family and commercial accounts contains three categories: service availability, billing charge and consumption charge. The service availability and billing charges are fixed charges, billed monthly regardless of occupancy. The consumption charge varies depending upon the amount of water registered on your meter.
If you are a resident of the City, garbage and recycling collection services are provided and billed through the Finance Department. The City has contracted with Waste Management Services to provide for this service. Fees for this service appear on your monthly bill for water and wastewater services.
Bills relating to services provided for water, wastewater, and garbage services are due ten days from the date the bill is rendered and becomes delinquent thirty days after the due date. Any utility bill for an owner account, which remains unpaid after 90 days from the billing, becomes a lien against the property. Utility bills due after 90 days by a tenant are submitted to a private service for collection.

| A stormwater management fee is billed each year for property within the city limits. The residential rate is a flat fee which varies by location of your property and whether you have provided for on-site stormwater retention. The fee can range from $21.83 to $56.70 annually. Owners of vacant land pay a fee based on the size of the property. The fee for vacant property with a land use designation of single family residence ranges from $12.01 to $30.02 annually. |

The fee for a multi-family parcel is based on 2 components: a base fee which varies depending upon the location within the City, and a contribution fee which is calculated based on the number of apartment units times a weighted trip rate for the land use designation. Owners of vacant land pay a fee based on the property size. |

| Reclaimed Water |
| For commercial irrigation accounts serviced by
a reclaimed water connection, the bulk reclaimed water rate consists of a volume charge billed and payable monthly. The water volume charge is assessed according to water conservation blocks and the meter size. |

| The City has contracted with Waste Management Services to provide garbage collection services. Garbage collection for commercial establishments are collected not less than twice per week and as required at a greater frequency of up to six days per week. For establishments requiring collection units larger than two garbage cans, container units are supplied for you. The monthly rate for containers is based on the type of container, size and frequency of service.
