The City of DeLand Commissioners has appointed a 15 member committee to offer advice on noise abatement issues at the DeLand Municipal Airport. This committee is comprised of residents from around the airport and aviation related businesses. The committee develops procedures and method’s to reduce the noise in the airport environ.

The DeLand Municipal Airport Noise Abatement Committee meets 6 times annually to review activity reports, operational trends, and compliance with noise rules and regulations.

The City of DeLand and the Airport Noise Committee are working together towards a common goal. On August 11, 2004 the airport initiated a noise study of our impact on the surrounding community. The study was completed in August of 2005.
