E-Lert 11/01/2011 - DeLand Click It or Ticket Campaign Announcement

	City of DeLand Police e-Lerts Members of the DeLand Police Department’s Traffic and Patrol Unit’s will conduct a Click It or Ticket traffic safety campaign from November 14th until November27, 2011. The campaign is designed to be a zero tolerance, round-the-clock sweep for motorists who fail to wear a safety belt. Last year Florida passed a primary safety belt law that allows law enforcement officers to pull over motorists that fail to buckle up. DeLand will join other law enforcement officers who will fan out across Florida in a life-saving effort to do just that. Safety belts save lives.
