Central Florida Scouting for Food Drive and City of DeLand Saturday Nov 12th
Central Florida’s Annual Scouting for Food is set to begin on November 5th. Food collected assists needy families in our area. Beginning Saturday, November 5th, Central Florida Boy Scouts will be dropping off food collection bags all over Central Florida.
You can fill those bags with cans and boxes of non-perishable food. On Saturday, November 12th, Central Florida Boy Scouts will return and pick up those filled bags left by your front door. The City of DeLand is also assisting by setting up food collection boxes at various city offices. You can help fill those boxes by bringing non-perishable food while doing business at any one of the City of DeLand locations. Food collected by our area scouts will be delivered to The Neighborhood Center which is a part of Second Harvest Food program on November 12th and is used by other area food pantries and ministries.
