112 Casa Bella - Police responded to this location after receiving a report of a burglary in progress to an occupied residence.  A b/m suspect entered through an unlocked door at which time he was confronted by the resident who pushed him out of the house.  The suspect was able to steal a small amount of cash from a purse while inside the house.  A description was obtained and a perimeter set up.  V.C.S.O. Air 1, K-9 and DeLand C.I.D. assisted.  Later on a b/m was observed walking in the roadway in the area and he took flight upon sight of law enforcement.  The suspect surrendered a few minutes later and was identified as Antonio Browning.  Browning was positively identified by the victim as being the person who burglarized the residence.

Chisholm Center – While the victim was on break from a class at this location an unknown suspect stole her wallet containing $300.00 from an unattended desk.  The wallet was later found by staff in the men’s restroom.

43 Villa Villar – The victim reported that she was contacted by unknown persons who advised her that she won $800,000.00.  The suspect requested that the victim send $750.00 cash for processing fees in order to receive the prize.  The next day more money was requested.  The victim sent the money before family members realized that it was a scam.

Applewood Apartments # 16-C – Police received a report of two subjects who had just burglarized an apartment.  A male suspect entered the apartment through a window and the female stood outside acting as a look-out.  Miscellaneous items were stolen from inside the residence and carried away by both suspects.  Police located the two suspects identified as Lloyd Francis and Asia Corley walking in the area.  The property was recovered and the witness positively identified the suspects.  Francis and Corley were arrested and transported to V.C.B.J.

405 N. Amelia: (Stetson University) A student, Sarah Foss (20), began sending repeated e-mails to a professor at the college beginning around 18:30. They indicated a romantic infatuation, and demanded he contact her. They escalated to a series of threats to specifically include bodily harm and killing him.  The professor was in fear of the situation. She was arrested and her computer was seized and placed in evidence along with copies of the sent e-mails provided by the professor. V.C.B.J.
