332 South Woodland – The R.P. came to D.P.D. and reported that on Sunday night an unknown suspect allegedly entered his apartment while he was sleeping, struck him on the head and stole all of his Prescription medication.  The R.P. showed what appeared to be an old wound to the back of his head that was not consistent with his allegation of being struck on Sunday night.

East Tall Pine – The victim reported that a friend identified as William Montgomery Jr. came over and stayed the night.  The next morning Montgomery woke up angry and claimed that $3000.00 was missing from his wallet.  Montgomery allegedly punched the victim and pushed her down before leaving the area.  A complaint affidavit was signed.  Montgomery was not located.

905 East Rich – Sometime overnight unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s vehicle through an unlocked door and stole several hundred dollars in cash that had been left in plain view inside the open console.

230 North Stone (Freedom Park) – Police received several calls in reference to what sounded like a gunshot in the area.  A silver Pontiac with damage was seen quickly driving from the area.  Officers got out with the driver of that vehicle at 701 West New York where he stopped to go into the store.  The subject identified as Martin Martinez, stated that he was with a couple of friends at that location and that the sound was only a backfire from a vehicle. His story changed several times to include that the other subjects attempted to rob him. He allowed his vehicle to be searched and no gun was found.  No shell casing or signs of a gunshot were found at the park.  No other info was available.

1310 South Clara – Sometime between yesterday morning and today unknown suspect(s) cut a chain and stole the victim’s push mover and power washer that was chained and locked to a fence outside his apartment.  The suspect(s) also took the chain.

109 Pecan – Troy Profit called police and complained that a neighbor’s boat was parked on his property without his permission.  The boat was found not to be on Profit’s property, however, he alleged that the motor was trimmed all the way up and was encroaching on the air space of his property and touching a small tree.  The neighbor had already moved the boat prior to police arrival and there was no damage to the tree.

Contact was made with a female at Florida Hospital after staff called and reported that the female had possibly been sexually battered.  The female was uncooperative and advised that she had been under the influence of cocaine for some time and she did not know if she had been sexually battered.  She refused to speak to detectives and did not want to have the situation investigated.  She was advised to contact police if she wished to pursue the incident further.

726 South Stone: William Ward was at Florida Hospital DeLand with multiple non-life threatening injuries. He reported he was “pistol whipped” at Beresford / Clara. An investigation of a 911 call at 726 south Stone revealed the incident took place there and a gun stolen in Orlando was recovered at the scene.  C.I.U. responded to assist with the scene.
