Recovered Stolen Bicycle / Dealing in Stolen Property

900 Block South Woodland – While on patrol Officer J. Miller observed a white male on a bicycle that matched the description of bicycle recently stolen from a downtown bike shop on 07/28.  The white male was detained and the owner of the bike shop responded and positively identified the bicycle as the one that had been stolen.  After waiving his Miranda rights the white male, identified as Billy Morrow claimed that he bought the bicycle from an unidentified black male off the street for $30.00.  The bicycle is valued at $500.00.   Morrow was charged via a complaint affidavit for dealing in stolen property and the bicycle was returned to the business.

506 Harrison Place: A delivery employee from Wok & Roll was robbed by three unknown individuals in the parking lot of Garfield Place Apartments. There was at least a 15 minute time lapse before we were notified and no identifiable scene could be located. There was a limited description of the suspects and one was armed with a bat. The victim suffered minor injuries and refused medical.
