Phil Martin was elected to Seat 4 of the City Commission in October of 2007.

He was born in Chicago, Illinois and has been a resident of DeLand for the past five years.

Education
Mr. Martin is a graduate of Pasco Hernando Community College where he received his A.S. degree in Business.

Government Experience
  • City Commissioner – October 2007 to present
Mr. Martin's priorities include improving our City customer service and to become more business friendly and revitalization of our downtown urban core and City parks.

Employment
  • 30 years in the restaurant industry
  • Owner of two businesses in DeLand
Community Involvement
  • DeLand Breakfast Rotary
  • Supports Habitat for Humanity           
  • Supports Good Samaritan Clinic
Personal
Phil Martin is married to Chantell Martin and they have two children.  He enjoys the St. Johns River, boating, fishing and scuba diving.
