Preservation of the architectural history of DeLand is promoted by an Ordinance created by the City Commission.This Ordinance seeks to protect and preserve the history of DeLand for future generations to enjoy and learn from.
DeLand has a rich collection of historic and cultural sites and properties.Over 700 buildings / sites in DeLand are nationally recognized by inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places.
